Its no wonder her calling was a vivacious, quirky and passionate proponent of Contemporary Art. As one of seven children, Elisabeth King grew up as a child of an Old Masters Painter/Gallery Owner in Santa Cruz California and was always surrounded by an array of artists as well as talented siblings for inspiration. With a bachelors degree in Art History from the University California Santa Barbara and a lengthly career in Fine Art Consulting thereafter, Elisabeth was then fortunate to experience the world of Corporate Curatorship and its current market both nationally and internationally.

The excitement and passion obtained from that position, coupled with the level of education in the masters, brought her to ultimately open The La Jolla Gallery. Elisabeth makes it her life that incredibly unique art meets the correct collector and is an advocate for the collection of Contemporary Artists…ultimately the Warhols of tomorrow.

After a degree and years in the field it has been Elisabeth’s life goal to introduce a distinctive gallery. When she and her dear friend Jack McGrory decided to partner talents they came up with a unique and progressive program for a gallery here in La Jolla.
